Supplements & nutraceuticals
Who we work with
Supplement and nutraceutical sellers are reviewed for their product claims and, when they sell autoship, for how renewals are disclosed. As a registered ISO, we place merchant accounts for supplement brands and retailers, and we prepare your offer for underwriting before you apply.
We work with supplement and nutraceutical brands, private-label sellers, retailers and wholesalers, selling single orders, bundles, wholesale invoices and monthly replenishment. One website often does all four, and each is reviewed for what it is.
Two things draw underwriting's attention in this category: what the products claim to do, and how a recurring order is presented. A trial that turns into a monthly charge the customer didn't expect is the classic source of chargebacks.
Underwriting
What underwriting asks for
- A current product list, sample labels, and supplier or manufacturer details.
- The product pages and campaign landing pages customers buy from, including any health claims.
- Whether you manufacture, private-label or resell, and who ships and handles returns.
- For autoship: the signup screens showing the first price, the renewal price and schedule, and how a customer skips or cancels.
- Expected order values and monthly volume, separating one-time, wholesale and recurring sales.
- Recent processing statements, refund and dispute history, and any notice from a provider that closed your account.
Your product claims remain your responsibility. Underwriting reads them closely, so claims that promise a cure or a guaranteed result are worth fixing before you apply.
Setup
How setup works
After approval we set up how you take payment. Online sales run through an NMI or Authorize.net gateway with a hosted payment form, so card numbers go straight to the processor and never through your website or our team. At a counter, we set up Clover: the devices, your item list and your staff, tested with a live sale and a refund.
For replenishment orders, customers' saved cards stay in the gateway's secure vault (for example NMI's Customer Vault), so a skip, a flavor change or a cancellation never means re-entering a card number. If you also sell at a counter or at events, we set up Clover for those sales.
Reserves
Reserves and chargebacks
Underwriting may set a reserve: a share of each settlement held back as a cushion against chargebacks and released on a schedule your agreement states. Whether one applies, and its terms, depend on the review. What keeps an account in good standing afterward is ordinary practice done consistently: a business name customers recognize on their statement, a refund policy they can find, and a support line that answers before a customer calls their bank.
For autoship, the best protection is a renewal the customer expects: the price and schedule stated at signup, a reminder before the charge, and an easy way to cancel.

Do you place nutraceuticals as well as supplements?
Yes. Include your full product mix and sales channels so the application reflects the whole business.
Can we keep our existing website?
Usually. Most store platforms connect to NMI or Authorize.net. Tell us which platform you use and what handles autoship today, and we confirm before you apply.
We already run monthly shipments. What changes?
Bring your signup flow, billing schedule and how you handle skips and cancellations. If you are moving from another processor, we plan how existing subscribers move without a missed or double charge.
