Flex questions
Clover Flex or Clover Flex Pocket?
Both are handhelds with a 6-inch screen. The Flex has a built-in receipt printer and comes with a charging cradle. The Flex Pocket is lighter, has no printer and no cradle, and sends receipts by email or text. If your guests expect a paper receipt at the table, choose the Flex.
Can the Flex work away from Wi-Fi?
Yes. The Flex connects over Wi-Fi, 4G/LTE or Bluetooth. For a food truck, an event or curbside beyond your Wi-Fi, we set it up with cellular service.
Can the Flex scan barcodes?
Yes. Clover's comparison sheet lists 1D and 2D barcode scanning with the built-in camera, so a Flex can ring up retail items or scan a QR code on the floor.
How many Flex handhelds does a restaurant need?
It usually comes down to how many servers work your busiest shift and whether they share devices. Tell us your floor plan and staffing and we will recommend a number, with the Station or Mini that anchors the counter.
