Clover Mini
The front-desk register we start a nail salon on: compact, with a built-in printer and a screen the client can tip on.
Point of sale for nail salons
Stratamize sets up Clover for nail salons: a service menu with every add-on priced, walk-ins and booked clients in one day's view, and tips that reach the right technician.
About two minutes. Our team follows up.

What we set up
A nail salon ticket is rarely the price on the menu. A manicure becomes a gel manicure with removal and two accent nails; a pedicure gains a callus treatment. Half the day walks in without a booking, and the client's hands are often still drying when it is time to pay. The register has to price add-ons without anyone doing arithmetic, and take a tip without the client digging through a purse.
Stratamize sets Clover up for that: the service menu with its add-ons, a profile for each technician so sales and tips land on the right person, booking if you want it, gift cards, the device at the front desk and the merchant account it runs on. We train the front desk and the technicians before go-live.
Hair salons and barbershops have their own page, which covers booth rent and commission in more depth. This one is for nail salons.
Where we set this up. Anywhere in the U.S., by phone: we ship your devices ready to use and train your staff on a call. In Coweta County and metro Atlanta our team installs on site, including Peachtree City. See all service areas.
Recommended devices
Which devices, and how many, depends on your counter and your floor. We adjust it with you before you buy anything.

Countertop POS
The front-desk register we start a nail salon on: compact, with a built-in printer and a screen the client can tip on.

Handheld with printer
The handheld you bring to the drying station or the pedicure chair, so the client pays without walking to the desk.

Dual-screen station
For a busy desk with a receptionist: a large staff screen and a separate screen facing the client.

Small countertop terminal
A payment terminal for a salon that only needs to take cards. Ask us whether it covers what you need before you choose it.
How it works
Answer a few questions and confirm your email, then finish a short checklist. It asks for your business details, never your customers’ card numbers.
Underwriting reviews your merchant account, and we keep you posted until it is decided.
After approval we set up your Clover, test a live sale and a refund, and train your staff.
Yes. We build each service as an item and each add-on as a modifier with its own price: gel, removal, shape, length, French, art by the nail. The front desk taps the service and then what was added, and the total is right without a calculator. Nail art that the technician prices on the day needs a way to key in an amount; ask us how that would ring on the setup we propose. Bring your printed menu and we build from it, then test it against a few of your most complicated tickets.
Not necessarily. A salon that runs almost entirely on walk-ins can use Clover as a register with technician profiles and never open a calendar.
If you want booking, Clover's nail salon page describes online booking with payment deposits, and lists appointment management with online customer booking as part of its Services Growth plan. Its appointments page describes email reminders and a calendar you can sort by employee. Whether that plan is the right one, or a booking app from the App Market fits a mostly walk-in floor better, depends on how you seat clients. Tell us how the day runs and we will recommend one and put its cost in the quote.
Each technician has a profile, and the sale is rung under the person who did the service, so a card tip is recorded against them and shows in the employee reports. When two technicians work on one client, such as a manicure and a pedicure at the same visit, ask us how to ring it so each technician gets credit; the answer depends on how you want the client to pay. Tell us how you pay tips out and how often, and we will show you the report you would use before you commit.
Two things help. A contactless card or a phone wallet is a tap, with no card to push into a slot, and the tip is chosen on screen with one touch. And a Clover Flex handheld can be brought to the client at the drying station or the pedicure chair, so nobody has to walk to the desk and open a bag with fresh polish. Some salons take payment before the top coat; either routine works on the same setup.
We usually start a nail salon on a Clover Mini at the desk, the register the fit chart we use gives a salon: a compact unit with a built-in printer and a screen the client can tip on. Clover's own nail salon page pairs the Mini with its Services Growth plan. A busier desk with a receptionist tends toward a Clover Station Duo, which gives the client a screen of their own.
A Clover Flex adds payment at the chair. A salon that only needs to take cards, with no service menu or reports, can run on a Clover Compact, the payment terminal Clover lists in its basic nail salon package. Tell us which of those describes you and we quote that.
Yes. Clover's nail salon page lists custom-branded physical and digital gift cards and a loyalty program for repeat clients, along with promotions you can send to bring clients back. Gift cards are sold and redeemed at the register like any other payment. If you already sell paper gift certificates, tell us how many are outstanding and we will work out with you how to honor them alongside the new cards.
Yes, for services paid in the salon. The prices on your menu are the card prices, and clients who pay cash get 3.5% off for cash. Credit and debit clients pay the posted price, and nothing is added at the register. We set up the program and the signs for your door and your front desk, so clients see it before they sit down.
After approval we build the service menu and add-ons from your printed menu, set up a profile for each technician, connect booking and gift cards if you want them, get the hardware running and train your front desk. We ring a set of practice tickets with your staff, including a two-technician visit and a gift card sale, before the first client pays on it.
