Finish the sale and print the receipt

The sale-complete screen, what each button on it does, printing on a thermal roll through the browser, and starting the next sale.

Menus and available actions depend on your role and enabled services. In the local demos, use sample records only; no real payments or messages are sent.

When a sale records, the Sale complete panel appears with the transaction number under it.

If the sale used store credit, the panel also shows a breakdown — cash, card and Wallet (store credit) — so you can see what came off the balance. On an ordinary cash sale there is no breakdown box: just Sale complete and the transaction number.

The change to hand back is not on this panel. It is the Change Due figure in the cash panel, which you read before tapping Complete Cash Payment. See Take payment.

  1. Tap Print receipt.
  2. A preview of the receipt opens. It is the real thing, laid out for an 80 mm roll with a 72 mm print area.
  3. Tap Print and complete your browser's print dialog.

Your header and footer lines, and whether the address, phone, cashier, customer, rewards points and per-rate tax detail are shown, all follow the Receipt Settings you set under Admin → General.

The store name, address and phone at the top come from the location record, not from the Business Information card on that same page. Locations are managed by Stratamize, so if the wrong address is printing, email support@stratamize.com — changing the business address under Admin → General will not move it.

Printing goes through the browser dialog every time. There is no direct-to-printer path. Set your thermal printer as the default and turn off headers, footers and margins once, and the dialog becomes one tap.

Reprint at terminal

On a sale paid on the card terminal, a Reprint at terminal button sends the customer copy back to the device — for a jam, an empty roll, or a skipped print. It never holds up the next sale. If the device cannot be reached you get "Could not print — check the terminal."

Email or text a receipt

  1. On Sale complete, choose Email / text receipt.
  2. Choose email or SMS and check the recipient. The form uses the attached customer's matching contact detail when available; otherwise enter the address or number the customer supplies.
  3. Confirm the destination with the customer, then send once.
  4. If an error appears, correct the recipient or ask your manager to check whether receipt delivery is configured. Print a copy if delivery is unavailable.

A success notice means the request was accepted; it is not proof that the customer has received it. Ask them to check their inbox or messages before retrying. Sending requires sale permission and the store's delivery service to be configured.

Refund this sale

Refund this sale… opens the return panel for the sale you have just rung, without leaving the sale screen. See Refund one line or the whole sale.

Start the next sale

New sale closes the panel and returns you to an empty cart. Closing the panel any other way does the same.

Who can print a receipt

A signed-in user can retrieve a completed receipt for this store even if another cashier rang it. Switching cashier by PIN does not remove access to the printed copy. The name on the receipt remains the cashier recorded on the sale.

If Sale not found appears, verify the transaction number, store sign-in and whether the sale completed. Do not ring the sale again just to obtain a receipt.

Reprinting later

You can reprint from Sales History — open the sale and tap Print receipt. Confirm the transaction number before printing.
