A Void cancels an eligible payment before settlement. A Refund returns an eligible payment after processing. Availability depends on state, processing route, and permissions; some routes provide only a refund action.
Before you act
Confirm the original transaction, customer, amount, and reversal reason. Check whether a refund was already submitted. If a dispute is open, coordinate with your operator before also refunding the purchase.
Submit an available action
- Open Transactions and select the original payment.
- Review its status and reference.
- Look under Actions for Refund or Void and read any refundable-amount note.
- Select the intended action. The current drawer does not offer an amount-entry field; do not assume a partial refund can be entered here.
- Read and confirm the action only when it matches your intention.
- Look for Refund submitted. or Transaction voided. and review refreshed activity.
Submission does not promise when a credit will appear on the customer's statement. Do not promise all original processing fees will be returned; compare later fee records and the statement.
Missing controls or uncertain results
A missing action can mean insufficient access, an unsupported route, or an ineligible payment. Ask the operator with the transaction ID and needed action. After an error following confirmation, check history before retrying.
The demo does not provide a working real refund or void flow, even if a result exposes a follow-up control. See payment statuses for handling uncertainty.
