Two separate problems, often reported together. Neither can be fixed in Settings.
The store name, address or phone is wrong
Cause. The three lines at the top of the receipt come from the location record your sale was rung at. They do not come from the Business Information you typed on Administration → General. Editing Business Information changes nothing on any receipt.
You can see what will print: Administration → Locations shows each location's name, address and phone on its card. Whatever is on that card is what prints.
What to do. Locations are managed by Stratamize. Send a request with:
- your store name;
- which location is wrong (its name as shown on the card);
- the exact name, address and phone you want printed, written the way you want them to appear.
Nothing at the store can change it. See Limits → What Stratamize controls, and how to ask.
Meanwhile, you can turn the wrong lines off. On Administration → General → Receipt Settings, untick Show business address and Show phone number, and put the correct details in Receipt Header instead. The store name at the very top cannot be switched off.
The receipt says "Stratamize POS", "1234 Business St, City, ST 12345"
That is not your record with the wrong details in it — it is the placeholder printed when the sale's location cannot be found at all. It means the sale was recorded against a location that no longer exists or was never set up.
Report it to Stratamize with a receipt number. It usually points at a register that is attached to the wrong location, which is worth fixing for the reporting as much as for the receipt.
The time on the receipt is hours ahead
Cause. The receipt prints the server's clock, and the server runs on UTC. A store in Georgia sees receipt times four hours ahead in summer and five in winter. A sale at 2pm prints as 18:00 or 19:00.
The times in Sales History come from the same clock, so they agree with the receipt. Times in Administration → Audit Log come from the device you are looking at, so those are in your local time. That mismatch is real and there is nothing on your side that changes it.
What to do. There is no time zone setting anywhere in the product, so this cannot be configured at the store or by Stratamize on request today. Two practical answers:
- For staff. Tell them the receipt clock runs ahead by a fixed number of hours and by how many. It is consistent, so an offset is enough to read it.
- For anything that has to be right — a dispute, a chargeback, an end-of-day reconciliation — use the receipt number rather than the time to identify a sale. The receipt number is unambiguous.
Dates roll early too. Late-evening sales print with the next day's date. A sale at 8pm on the 5th in Georgia prints as the 6th. It matters most when you are matching a day's takings against a batch, so count by receipt number ranges rather than by the printed date.
