Signing in is a phone number and a texted code. There is no password, so there is nothing to reset. Find your message below.
"Invalid phone number format"
The full message is Invalid phone number format. Use country code (e.g. +1) followed by your number.
Pick your country from the dropdown to the left of the box, then type the ten digits
of your number. +1 and 5551234567 — not (555) 123-4567 typed into the country
box, and not a leading 1 typed twice.
The code never arrives
Give it a minute; a text can be slow.
If nothing comes:
- Check you are on the right phone. The code goes to the number you typed, not to the number on the account you think you are using.
- On the code screen, press Resend Code. There is a 30-second cooldown between resends.
- Each code is good for five minutes. If you find the text after that, ask for a new one rather than typing the old one.
If the screen says Failed to send verification code. Please try again., the text could not be sent at all. Two links appear underneath — Try again, and Use a different number. Try a second time first; texting is unreliable in short bursts. If it keeps failing on a number you know is correct, that is a Stratamize problem, not something you can fix at the store.
"Invalid verification code"
Two versions of this:
- Invalid verification code. Must be 6 digits. — you typed too few, too many, or something that is not a number. Retype the six digits.
- Invalid verification code. Please try again. — the digits are wrong or the code has expired. Ask for a new one.
"Too many login attempts. Please wait 15 minutes and try again."
Five tries in fifteen minutes, counted per phone number. The clock runs whether you were guessing or fighting a bad signal. Wait it out; there is no way to clear it from your side, and switching browsers will not help because the limit follows the phone number.
Too many verification attempts. Please wait and try again. on the code screen is the same limit reached on the second step.
"Your phone number is not registered. Please contact support."
Your number is not attached to any store. Either it was never added, or it was added with different digits — a missing country code, a transposed pair.
Whoever runs your store can check on Administration → Users: search for your name and compare the phone number character for character. If it is wrong there, an admin can fix it. If your number is not in the list at all, an admin can add you — or ask Stratamize if nobody at the store has admin.
"No active business accounts found. Please contact support."
The code was right and you are known, but no store is currently active for you. This is not something the store can fix. Contact Stratamize.
You land in the wrong store
If you work at more than one Stratamize store, after the code you get a Select Your Business screen. Pick the right one. If you picked wrong, sign out from the avatar menu at the top right and sign in again.
If you go straight into a store and it is the wrong one, then only that one store is attached to your number — ask an admin at the other store to add you.
"Continue with Google" is not on the screen
Google sign-in is switched on or off for the whole installation, not per person. If the button is not there, it is off, and the phone-and-code route is the only way in. That is a setting Stratamize controls.
If the button is there and Google returns you to the sign-in page with No active business accounts found, the Google account you chose is not attached to a store. Use the phone route instead, and ask an admin to check the email address on your user record.
Two other messages come back from that button. Google sign-in was cancelled or failed. means you closed Google's window or declined. Google authentication failed. Please try again. usually clears on a second attempt; if it does not, use the phone route and tell Stratamize.
After you are in
Your sign-in lasts eight hours. See I was signed out in the middle of my shift.
