Choose a date range, preview, print and download

Date presets and custom ranges, the location filter, previewing on screen, saving a real PDF and downloading CSV.

Menus and available actions depend on your role and enabled services. In the local demos, use sample records only; no real payments or messages are sent.

Every report on the Reports page works the same way: pick the report, set the range, read it on screen, then print it, save it as a PDF, or download it as a spreadsheet.

Pick the report

On a computer the reports are listed down the left, grouped by area. On a phone or a small tablet that list collapses into a single Select report dropdown at the top.

Picking a report changes the controls above the preview: only the ones that report actually uses appear. Inventory Valuation has no dates, because it is a snapshot of right now. Top Products and Top Customers add a Top N box. Top Products adds a Rank by dropdown.

Set the range

Six buttons: Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, This Month and Custom. Last 7 Days is what you start on.

Custom puts two date boxes on screen. Both ends are included — a range of the 1st to the 30th covers everything rung on the 30th.

If your account has more than one location, a Location dropdown appears next to the dates, starting on All locations.

The preview reloads on its own a moment after you change anything. You do not have to press a button.

Read it on screen

The preview is the report itself — the same figures, the same tables, the same totals as the printed copy. Some reports also draw a small chart above the table.

If the report has nothing to show for the range you picked, it says No data available for this period. That is an empty result, not an error.

Three buttons sit above the preview.

  • View document opens the report in a new tab, laid out as a page of paper. Use it to read a long report, or print it from the browser.
  • Print / Save PDF opens a real PDF file in a new tab. It is generated on the server, so what you get is a proper PDF and not a screenshot of a web page — save it, email it, or print it from your PDF reader.
  • Export CSV downloads the report as a spreadsheet file named after the report and the dates, for example sales-summary_2026-09-01_2026-09-07.csv.

All three use the range and location you have on screen, so set those first.

Two notes on the CSV: it is built from what is on screen, so it carries the figures already formatted with dollar signs, and it comes down with each section heading on its own row above that section's columns. Expect to tidy it before you pivot it.

Nothing is emailed and nothing is scheduled. Every export is a download you take yourself.

What you cannot get out yet

There is no per-transaction export. Nothing on this page produces a list of individual sales with their tenders and refunds for an accountant, and there is no QuickBooks, Xero or journal export.

The nearest thing is Custom Report with the Sales line items source, which gives one row per line sold with date, product, quantity, price, employee and location. It has no tender or refund columns.

Plan for month-end to mean reading these totals and keying them into your books by hand. Take the tax figure from the Sales Tax Report — see File your sales tax — because it is the only one that nets refunds.
