Practice in the local Merchant Portal demo

Explore synthetic activity and reset without expecting real payments or messages.

Menus and available actions depend on your role and enabled services. In the local demos, use sample records only; no real payments or messages are sent.

The interactive demo contains synthetic customers, masked methods, and sample reports. Its banner says Local simulation only. No payments, emails or calls. It does not test a live account's access, configuration, or rates.

Practice a saved-method payment

  1. Open Virtual Terminal and read Demo simulation.
  2. Enter a sample Amount (USD).
  3. Select the sample Visa or bank entry in Customer vault.
  4. Check its masked digits, then choose Simulate payment.
  5. Read the result and Recent activity. No money was collected; Receipt sending unavailable in this demo remains in effect.

Run a reporting scenario

  1. Open Run a simulation in the demo controls.
  2. Choose Approved payment to add the sample saved-card payment awaiting settlement, or Declined payment to illustrate an issuer decline without collection.
  3. Review the simulation activity message and the transaction it displays.
  4. Choose Batch settlement to move eligible pending sample payments into the illustrated deposit flow.
  5. Review the resulting report, then use Reset demo when you want the original data back.

Simple terminal simulation and reporting scenarios are not a complete accounting cycle; counters need not reconcile like a real statement.

Explore other tasks

Browse reports, open transaction and customer detail, create a demo invoice draft, create a subscription with a synthetic saved method, edit a sample subscription, or mark an eligible sample deposit reconciled. Changes affect demonstration state only.

Unavailable actions

Real card/bank entry, real method changes, refunds, CSV/PDF downloads, sending invoices or receipts, real authentication, team/account changes, and Savanah calls are blocked or unavailable. The sample public pay page lets you simulate checkout and saving a preset method without collecting real payment information. A visible button can display an unavailability notice. Do not enter real customer information.

Start over

Choose Reset demo in the banner to restore samples and return to Overview. Changes are held locally in memory and are not durable account records. Resetting does not alter any real transaction.
